PCI Express EDGE CARD INTERFACES

Standard PICMG 1.3 PCI Express Interfaces - Automatically adapts to graphics or server-class backplane PCIe link configurations - one x16 and one x4 or two x8 and one x4/ PCIe links.  The direct PCIe links from the board's processors (links A0, A1, A2 and A3) may operate as either PCIe Gen 1.1 or PCIe Gen 2.0 depending on the backplane design.  The x4 link from the board's PCH (link B0) is always a PCIe 1.1 link regardless of what is connected to this link and the option card that is used.  PCIe link (B0) from the board’s PCH has a x4 default configuration and can be made to bifurcate into four, x1 PCIe links with a factory modification to the JXT6966 board.  Contact Trenton if you require this B0 link configuration change.  The optional x1 link available with a Trenton IOB33 expansion module is a PCIe 1.1 link only.

Optional PCI Express Gen 2.0 Link Expansion - Installing a Trenton PEX10; PCI Express Expansion module, on the back of the JXT6966 provides four additional x4 PCIe Gen 2 links to a PCIe backplane like the Trenton BPC7009.  The backplane must have an edge connector slot to accommodate the PEX10's edge connector.  The backplane may use these additional x4 links independently or as one additional x16 PCIe Gen 2 link.

WATCHDOG TIMER

The JXT6966 provides a programmable watchdog timer with programmable timeout periods of 100 msec, 1 second, 10 seconds or 1 minute via board component U13.  When enabled the WDT (U13) will generate a system reset.  WDT control is supplied via the General Purpose IO pins from the Intel® 3420 Platform Controller Hub (PCH).  The PCH’s GPIO_LVL2 register controls the state of each GPIO signal.  This 32-bit register is located within GPIO IO spaces.  The GPIO_BASE IO address is determined by the values programmed into the PCH’s LPC Bridge PCI configuration at offset 48-4B(h).

The PEX10 PCI Express Gen 2.0 module provides PCIe bandwidth expansion between the Trenton JXT6966 SHB and the Trenton BPC7009 backplane.

BPC7041

The BPC7041 is a PICMG 1.3 passive backplane designed for use with the Trenton JXT6966. Equipping the JXT6966 with the optional PEX10 and IOB33 plug-in modules enables direct PCIe link connections from the SBC to all ten backplane option card slots.


BPX3/2

Trenton's BPX3/2 is a server-class, narrow shoebox from factor backplane with one SHB slot, two x8 PCI Express and two PCI-X/PCI option card slots.


BPX3/8

Trenton's BPX3/8 is a server-class backplane provides electrical connections for two PCI Express, four PCI-X and four 64-bit PCI option cards, with 1 CPU slot for the SHB.




BP2S6929

The Trenton BP2S6929 is a two-segmented PICMG 1.3 backplane that supports multiple SHBs used in cluster computing applications.  This backplane is used in the Trenton TRC5001 and the TRC5002 rackmount computer systems. 


BPC7009

BPC7009 is a combination PICMG 1.3 server and graphics-class backplane that supports PICMG 1.3 system host boards (SHBs) and PCI Express Gen 2 and Gen 1.1 option cards.


BPX6620

Trenton's BPX6620 is a server-class, 14-slot from factor backplane with one SHB slot and one x8 and one x4 PCI Express option card slot with a PCI Express Expansion slot and ten PCI-X/PCI Slots.


BPX6806

Trenton's BPX6806 server-class, 20-slot from factor backplane with one SHB slot and four x8 and fourteen x4 PCI Express option card slots with one PCIe Expansion slot.


BPX3/14

Trenton's  BPX3/14 is a server-class backplane provides electrical connections for two PCI Express, fourteen PCI-X option cards and 1 CPU slot for the SHB.

TRC2002

This 2U rugged rackmount computer has been validated as a CE-compliant computer.  The TRC2002 is an ideal military computer or simply a computer well-suited for other robust applications found in industrial automation and medical applications.  The system features two front access, hot swap 2.5" HDDs in a lightweight aluminum chassis.


TRC6000

This compact 6U industrial server features a short 18.2" depth and a choice of single board computers and 14 or 20-slot backplanes that support full-length I/O and DSP cards.  The TRC6000 is a perfect open tele-communications platform for Call Center Processing, Firewalls & VPN Servers and IP Media Server applications.


TRC5002

The TRC5002 is a rugged 5U Rackmount Computer like the TRC5001, but with front access HDD and DVD support for each single board computer segment.  This system also features the PCI Express and PCI-X/PCI BP2S6929 multi-segment backplane.  The TRC5002 works well in Command & ControlWeb Services and Robotic Assembly Line applications.


TRC4008

The TRC4008 is a rackmount chassis that features 14-slot backplane and embedded motherboard support.  The TRC4008 offers flexible system configurations with single board computers, 14-slot backplanes, or embedded motherboards and is ideal for Government & Defense, Video Processing and GPU Computing applications.


TRC6001

The TRC6001 is 6U, CE validated industrial server packaged in a lightweight aluminum chassis.  The system offers a choice of single board computers20-slot backplanes that support full-length I/O and DSP cards and 3+1 redundant hot swap power supplies.  The TRC6001 is also well-suited to open tele-communication applications like Call Center Processing, Firewalls & VPN Servers and 1st Responder Dispatch & Emergency Call Centers.


TRC5000

This rugged 5U Rackmount Computer has a compact chassis depth of 18" and up to four single board computers using a multi-segement, PCI Express backplane such as the BP4FS6890.  The TRC5000 is designed for cluster computing in Government & Defense, Virtualization and Industrial Automation applications.


TRC4007

The TRC4007 is a rackmount computer that features an integrated LCD display and keyboard/mouse tray.  This 19" rackmount computer features front access /hot swap storage drives in a shallow depth 20" enclosure.  The TRC4007 offers flexible system configurations with single board computers, 14-slot backplanes, or embedded motherboards and is ideal for Government & Defense, Industrial Automation and Energy applications.


TRC2003

The TRC2003 is a 2U rugged rackmount computer and very similar to the TRC2002.  The TRC2003 features a choice of PICMG 1.3 SHBs plus a lockable and front access 3.5" HDD.  The lightweight aluminum chassis design works well in military computingindustrial automation and medical applications.


TVC5400

The TVC5400 video controller supports up to seventeen x16 PCI Express 2.0 video cards used in display wall applications. The controller offeres a choice of single board computers and 20-slot backplanes such as the BPG8032 backplane, multiple front access storage drives and an N + 1 system power supply.


TRC4001

TRC4001 rackmount computer supports 14-slot backplanes and single board computers.  The additional chassis depth enables additional drive bay and power supply system options. Use this type of chassis if there are concerns about system airflow due to the system configuration requirements.  This is an ideal system for Test & Measurement, Industrial Automation and Energy applications.


TRC2000

This shallow depth rackmount computer is an ideal solution for limited computer mounting spaces found in typical airborne and shipboard command & control as well as industrial automation applications.  A butterfly backplane design is used in the TRC2000 to support a variety of PICMG 1.3 system host boards (SHB) and option cards.
